The rear brake pipes are prone for going on the RRS1.Might be worth changing them for copper ones.

sometimes I get this advisory and others not. I have my MOT coming up and someone here advised getting the metal brush out to take away the worst of the rust and for a better visual inspection of the pipes. I'll be doing so this weekend. Recently bought a 2007 RRS HSE TDV6 for a Pimp-My-Ride-Project.

Forgot to mention, cleaned 'em up the other week. To be honest they weren't that bad! Good old brush up to get a good view, definitely no pitting, just superficial corrosion. Good old coating of high pressure grease to keep future elements at bay, job's a good 'un! Daily... Audi TT 240 qS, tasteful mods.

Easy DIY. If they're anything like my old man's it really is superficial. Good clean up with a wire/stiff bristle brush, make sure no pitting, good coating with decent grease to protect freshly exposed pipes, each MoT prep' clean off grease-check condition-re apply grease. If they're getting worse, renew, they look easy enough to get at. Daily... Audi TT 240 qS, tasteful mods.

After the wire brushing you could of course coat them with Hammerite or similar corrosion inhibitor and give them some protection for a wee bit longer......... 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
