There was a good write up in autocar a few weeks ago and it talked about all the scare mongering going on against diesels and how it was pointless. It's only speculation for now as only the older diesels have been hard hit. No plans as yet for hitting new cleaner diesels with any additional penalties.

In the company I work for we are now forbidden to use "scrapping" when a ship reaches the end of its economic life, we have to refer to it being "recycled"................. far too PC - recycling is what happens to the materials after it has been "scrapped" 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

That criticism wasn't aimed at you, I'm sorry if I gave that impression! The culprit is the government or the media or some other source way above our 'pay grade'! |

Isn't it "decommissioned" or "paid off" or are those different things altogether? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |

If I was offended that easily, I wouldn't be on the web chatting with strangers about inconsequential nonsense... 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders 2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed |
