Simple check, Change the transfer box oil and filter the old oil and look for debris. In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures

Hi mate I have just had my transfer box rebuilt to £830 mine wasn't a clunk it sounded like a scraping noise like a wheel bearing rover 2,7 sport |

Perhaps the same, having only had the car a small time and still getting used to it I have also noticed a low speed (10-perhaps 20 mph) clunk when apply light throttle but above these speeds I can't say I notice anything. Feels/sounds like it coming from the rear or certainly behind me. |

When was the fluid in the Viscous Coupling last changed/ checked? You may be suffering slippage in the VC. LR claimed originally that it was "sealed for life" - after a lot of failures in Freelanders "life" was reduced to 5 or 7 years IIRC 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

When my sport was making the noise it was really difficult to say where noise was coming from it was a rotational scraping noise I swapped both front hubs which included wheel bearings £360 later still same noise swapped rear bearing and corroded back plate just in case it was handbrake shoes catching like I said it was rotational noise £140 later still same turned out to be bearings in transfer box but no clunking sound check ur diff oil and prop |
