Warranty by Olympic.

I have a two year warranty with this company and have claimed for a cracked inlet manifold on the drivers side. Car goes into SloMo now and againand puffs black smoke from the exhaust.
Performance is still great although I can't take the chance of overtaking which really disciplines the mind.
Anyway the company are saying it's 'wear and tear' and therefore they will not pay for a fix.
This seems to be there get out of jail card according to their reviews (wish I'd read before paying the premium).
I have told them it is a non moving part so the wear excuse doesn't really apply.
It is now an on going dispute but here's the Qs...anybody had experience of this company or Warranty 2000 it's sister effort.
The words taking money and false pretences come to mind.
Also the part from Britpart is £350 which seems a lot for a plastic moulding.
Anybody done this job themselves or know better ?
Many thanks.

YEs. They are a Censored company to deal with Censored

You don't say what engine you have, but a new genuine LR manifold for the 3.0 is £190 + VAT Thumbs Up

Methinks I have been somewhat naive here. Purchase peace of mind but actually turns out to be the opposite.
Engine is 3.6 TDV8. The £300+ price was from the dealership. Tempting to remove fix the seam and re-install, can't be that difficult to fix plastic, can it ? D
