I always have carried one, I haven't put much effort into getting one yet though. I read somewhere the V8 diesel doesn't have a replaceable fuel filter. Do you know where yours is located? 2017 MY17 SDV6 SE |

Interesting surely the makers of the world's best 4WD would have considered that in the outback or anywhere for that matter you can pick up dirty diesel. All interstate trucks run filters and are in a position for easy change. I googled and could not find filters for the current model. I will pull the bonnet today and have a look . I sure hope they are not in tank filter this has to be one of the dumbest places to locate, and yes I know the reason why they are there. in the UK, you're never further than 10m from a dealer, or at least a workshop.

I made enquiry for the SDV6, and the filter is around $170.00. Not sure where it is located yet though, I think it is underneath somewhere. 2017 MY17 SDV6 SE |

Well on my car (SDV6 HSE), the fuel filter is fitted to the inner wing, on the right hand side as you open the bonnet. You can`t miss it. It looks like the same canister filter that was used on the old L322, and they cost about £40 here from any motor factor. On the old car though, it was mounted at the side of the transmission, which was a pretty daft location to be fair. |

I have located the fuel filter, it is easy to access from the engine bay. Sits up high on the LHS above the wheel well and looks fairly easy to replace. Definitely cheaper to buy it overseas. 2017 MY17 SDV6 SE |

Yes mine was visible when the engine cover was removed. Is replaceable and the tech at the dealer said it would be a good idea to carry a spare. Asked what would happen if blocked he said just water will block the filter said anyone who seriously wants to use the vehicle for off road purposes should carry a spare. Since this seems new to most of the posters here perhaps it's time to investigate where to obtain a spare filter. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW. |

Fuel filter part number for mine is LR041978 and I'll upload a photo shortly to show what it looks like in its place.

The fuel filters are not unique to RR. That number cross-references and is available from your local motor factor! |
