More Fun & Games...

On cruise control going about the legal limit on M11 this morning and all of a sudden its Christmas lights time and the car starts firing up warnings on the dash like confetti. I saw Engine Fault, Parking Break Fault, Suspension Fault & Transmission Fault. F comes up on the Drive and the car starts to slow down and another message says the car was lowering (it didn't).

I didn't have IID tool with me but I safely pulled over to side of road and tried the old IT Support trick - turn car off, wait a few mins and turn it back on again. Car worked fine and has continued to do so up to Ely, March, over to Bury St Edmunds and back to SE London.

Guess it might be an aberration but I've pulled the codes now. I *think* the only relevant ones are these below although the top one might be a different thing, dunno.

Instrument Pack

U0132-87 (2E ) Lost communication with ride level control module - Bus signal/message failure - missing a message
U0159-87 (2F ) Lost communication with parking assist control module - Bus signal/message failure - missing a message
Parking Brake

U0100-87 (A8 ) Lost communication with engine control module/powertrain control module 'A' - Bus signal/message failure - missing a message
( on 23-04-2017 12:20:31 at 224910 km )

I've also got but not sure when that popped in or if related

Engine TDV6

P0087-00 (68 ) Fuel rail/system pressure - too low

Any pointers guys/gals?

Usually a festive dashboard is down to the battery, as you were running it might be worth testing the alternator (would be worth testing the battery too just to make sure!).

Battery is new a couple of months ago, so hopefully not that but then again, hopefully not alternator or anything expensive either!
