Hardwiring a dash camera

Looking to hard wire a dash cam preferably at the top near the rear view mirror, can I run the wiring along the head lining ? Don't want to disturb the airbags etc, or possibly at the bottom with wiring near the dash centre speaker, where best to pick up a live from the ignition and a permanent live for the camera shock feature, loooking to use a road angel halo, thanks for the advise guys.
