2010 RRS S/C front rotors... zimmermann any good?

Hey guys,

I'm about to pull the trigger on these rotors made OE specific by zimmermann who makes all the OEM rotors for the German manufacturers. Does anyone have an opinion on them for the range rovers? They are zinc covered and seem very well made. Even the cooling vanes are smooth vs the forged look.

Great YouTube video, thanks for putting it up there.
Didn't know anything about Zimmerman until you mentioned it and I particularly like that they are German and zinc coated.
I will be interested to see how they compare as I have just changed mine all round with Brembo discs and pads so let's come back to this post in 6 months time and report how both are getting on! 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue

If we all point our RR's in the same direction and accelerate at the same time can we turn back time?

Thanks Scrumpy,

So far so good although the brakes feel much much better and there's no brake wobble, they don't feel as crisp as I had hoped. Part of the reason I'm guessing is because the brake lines are getting old and worn. Since they are rubber they tend to expand a little over time. My buddy who is a mechanic says that the best thing to do is buy stainless steel braided brake lines all around and the difference would be like night and day.

I've never had braided steel brake lines on cars but have always fitted them on my bikes and yes, they do make a massive difference! 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue

they are superb. Better than OEM!
I use them all the time together with ATE pads (also German). Very little dust. Nice on the rotors life
