urgently needs help
after turn on the engine pops up information park brake fault only
after driving a few mils pops up warning amber lights on dashboard
and here begins the problem, I do not know why but when you see the orange light park break problem
consumption car fuel has nearly doubled
please help

Mpg could of increased because the park brake is binding. Do the rear wheels feel hot after a journey ? If you have warning lights coming on then the hand brake needs checking anyhow. 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

Does sound like binding rear breaks can you smell anything

Check it out when I come back from work but this is an important clue
It means that the handbrake cables. not open in a whole?
and still is applied gently handbrake ??

I checked, and unfortunately nothing smelled and did not block took off my drum,everything looks ok
and the most frightening is that after showing an error on dashbord is fast change range and Tip fuel goes down but after turn off ond on again back tu normal.always show amber light after 2-3 mil drive

only problem is that in the UK the mechanics they go the easy way, do not fix things exchange for new elemety and it costs a fortune

problem finded by delphi fault code U0417 Invalid data received from parking brake control module
but i dont know what to do

I mean this tape from photo,During the last brake repair, I did not have to install the casing properly I crushed the tape
But I fixed it
