Rear entertainment

I may have asked this here before - apologies if so - but are the headphones for the rear entertainment system wireless.

The screens in the back of the headrests are the same as in the Vogue. The remote control is the same as is the Vogue, using the IR receiver above the left or right screen as in the Vogue. But I've asked several garages and had numerous, contradicting answers.

Headphones!! Don't get me started on them, wouldn't even supply ordinary headphones with mine, had to buy some, stingey lot! Crying or Very sad

Wireless = Don't work in the RRS !!!!!


Don't bother with any LR headphones either - there are so many aftermarket ones out there which are - simply, better..

Only Wire headphones can be used ( except when you buy the dealer fit roof mount dvd unit )

Your door mounted sockets will only work with wired headsets = 3.5mm jack and look for headsets with an immpedence of 32 OHMS

Alpine have an infrared transmitter and headphone kit - model SH S-N252. It might be possible to adapt this to work with the RRS system. Don't see why that wouldn't work as long as the transmitter has the relevant fitment into the output jack.
