RRSPORT.CO.UK ** Poss Design For Umbrella ?

Here is a quick go at thoughts on how we could advertise the forum on an umbrella. This is an approved LR product sold elswhere? Dont see why we couldnt source LR umbrellas ( with logo ) then add our stamp to them.??

Prototype idea

This colour combination bodes well for the Supercharged & everything the SPORT stands for Cool

What do you all think - are there any graphic designers out there who could mackle up some more ideas or a better version of the above?

Sorry to put a downer on this - we're not allowed to use the Land Rover logo (or any other trademarks) at all Sad

So I/we wouldn't be allowed to produce these umbrellas, as putting RRSPORT.CO.UK next to the Land Rover logo would imply some kind of "official" affiliation which would be frowned upon heavily by Land Rover Sad

However we could get a similar kind of thing made without the LR oval, although I imagine that finding a chequer plate umbrella might be tricky Wink Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

Lets have the umbrella with just RRSport.co.uk on it - if that's ok with Martin who I believe owns the name. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten

As I thought - but we could have other related things that wouldnt cause an issue with LR. Such as a pic of the sport?

or

or

Depending on the backdrop colour of the actual umbrella

I think the b/w "concept" graphic above would look good and being only in two colours would keep prices down wouldn't it.

How about: Vesuvius coloured umbrella with the "concept" graphic in each section with "rrsport.co.uk" running around the outside edge (I'm crap at graphic design so won't attempt to do an MDP with it)? Might be worth gathering views on what colours people might prefer too as I'm sure it won't be particularly cost-effective to have loads of colours to choose from... Vesuvius, Black and Silver? Or just two colours?

Agrre .... a Versuvious orage/black brolly would also look good - with pic of v/orange sport on the black sections and black RRSPORT.CO.UK in the orange sections. Smile

Hi guys

I think a silhouette type print of a RRS/Concept drawing would work well, and cost much less to produce than a full colour print. I'm trying to find a source of Orange/Black panelled umbrellas as we speak Wink

More info/ideas in a bit Mr. Green Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

Right then, have fired off some quotation requests, will see what comes of them in the morning.

Options for graphics

  1. use the concept 'Stormer' silhouette (first in MDP's post up a bit).

Advantage: single colour so easy to print
    Disadvantage: not actually an RRS!

  2. use MDP's picture 2 or 3 (or similar) to create a similar silhouette to the Stormer one but of an RRS

Advantage: is an RRS, single colour so easy to print
Disadvantage: would require work to produce graphic

  3. use full colour RRS picture like MDP's third one

Advantage: would look excellent, is an RRS
Disadvantage: more expensive to print onto umbrella

I think the alternate panels idea is great, with RRS/Stormer pic on one and RRSPORT.CO.UK on the alternate panel, repeated around the umbrella.

However due to batch sizes, they would all need to be the same, I couldn't get some orange/black, some silver/black, some with pics, some without etc, they need to all be the same Sad Confused

Anyway, some thoughts, let me have some feedback Cool Like this site? Buy some RRSPORT goodies to show your support!

I would prefer just the RRSport.co.uk - no picture. 2005 Zambezi TDV6 - Gone but not forgotten
2009 Alaska TDV8 - Gone and much missed.

If we could mock up some designs of what each potential version would look like - i.e. one with just text, one with just pics and one with both - and maybe on each colour choice? Then we could all make our decisions - set up a voting thread and see which one comes out on top for the actual production run?

Cheers
