What a difference!

I've noticed since owning this car that it's very camber sensitive a lot more than the D3 I had before. Always put it down to the low profile tyres, anyhow over the last 6 months or so it's got worst, checked all the usual bushes, tyres etc all ok !
Coming away from the gym the other night turning right out a junction hit a small pot hole and heard a loud rattle from the o/s/r. Managed to reproduce the same noise doing similar manoeuvres. Could hear nothing going over speed bumps even going down a local green lane the other day, nothing.
Checked the rear suspension and found the upper hub joint (rose bush) was completely shot ! Changed it yesterday, bit of a pig as (as usual with these cars) the bolt was seized solid , hammering and heat had no effect so had to cut it out.
Anyhow new one fitted, what a difference, like a new car ! 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

This post is good timing as I've just emailed my Indie about a twitching from the rear that occurs over bumps. Might not be this but it's always good to point the mechanic at a possible cause. I'll see if I can reproduce the same scenario as you. Robin
