If you can't stop the engine remove it and see what happens. |

I wouldn't suggest pulling anything while the engine is running. You may inadvertently cause a voltage spike to an ECU, which will cause you an even bigger headache than you already have... |

Thanks Devon, at least I got it home today. Cleaned up the contact on the starter relay and left the battery disconnected overnight (otherwise everything stays on). Reconnected the battery this morning and the amber Parking Light had gone but the airbag light was on. Thought it might have reset itself, drove home ok but still can't turn it off with the key.

So the car has been into my local indy and they have run the diagnostics.

For future reference, a 2nd hand BCM cannot be reconfigured. It must be matched with the the PCM to enable/disable the immobiliser |
