Naming SatNav Favourites

Does anyone know a method of creating a custom name for a favourite on the satnav, either in the car or with the incontrol route planner?

I am also having issues in setting a location if the satnav cannot find the address, it does not allow me to find a location on the map and click to set as a destination. The only method I have found to use locate on Google maps, copy the GPS coordinates and then enter that in route planner.

Perhaps adding your RRS details would help the best people respond as I think there are quite few variations in function. Robin

My car is My17 sdv6 hse, Feb 2017 build.

The question applies to the car sat nav (incontrol pro), the current browser based router planner and the incontrol route planner app. None of the interfaces seem to provide a way to edit the names of favorites.

FYI

Sat Nav favourites can be re-named only in the car by selecting one as a destination, then select EDIT (the star and pencil icon). It can take some time for the new names to be synchronised back to the app and browser program.

Again the car can accept a destination from a point on a map but the app and browser cannot.
