You're very welcome. Just spec'd mine and it came up cheaper than my RRS with all the options I could want... |

The LR promo videos all call it the 'vay-lar' maybe they're still deciding!? We all know they like to release things when they are not quite ready! I've specced the P380 to £88k+, gawd knows what the potential SVR will come in at, perhaps more than my RRS?! |

After five years with an Evok/Evoke we still never found any agreement on how to pronounce it, so it's early days for the Velar/Vaylar/Veelar! |

I was tempted to chop in the Evoque but ive just been on the configuration and at £81k i think i will be sticking with what i have. The evoque is more practical for everyday driving/parking due its size. If i spend this much on a Velar, i may as well drive the SVR. I do love the sleekness of the interior though.

Better, I don't know....however, they were parked together outside and the RRS looked very dated compared to the Velar - it's really moved the game on in the design department both inside and out. The Velar is pretty similar in size to the RRS too.... much larger than an Evoque. The internal screens etc really lift the interior. I think the 2018 RRS will be something to really look forward to and will move the game on. |

I really doubt that would be the case but they will go up by around £5k at least I expect. |

Is that an actual fact or did it just look that way, Auto Express are quoting 632 litres with the rear seats up compared with 784 for the RRS? Intrigued as I don't find the boot in the RRS massive. MY17 Carpathian SDV6 AB Sport |

worth to mention, in the velar we will sit around 10-12cm lower. I dont want to sit 1cm lower, thats why I have an RRS... |

Thats a good point Renaco the high driving position of our RRs is what makes them feel special. To sit lower would be like sitting in any other vehicle would it not? SVR 2018 in Santorini Black. |

Well it seems hard not spend a fortune on this car if you want a decent size and proven engine. R Dynamic with not many boxes ticked soon come to £80k whereas a 1st Ed with a load of equipment I don't want and a choice of 1 nice colour and 2 dull as ditchwater silvers for a fortune extra, is only 3k more but adding a deployable tow hitch and side steps takes it up another £3000................ I see in today's Autocar Jag is to launch an Evoque sized "E Type" SUV............ 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
