Reversing / parking sensors not working

Hi all,

I have a 2006 with sensor issues. When selecting reverse there is a high pitch beep, around 5 seconds long, then the light on the centre console continuously flashes.

I have put my ear to all the sensors surrounding the car, the front lot click when reverse is selected but none of the back are clicking.

Where do I start!?

Cheers

If non of the rears are clicking I would check the main loom connection for the rear sensors.

Thanks for your reply Socast. Where do I locate the main loom connection?

Remove your nearside tail light cluster.

It's detecting a fault with one of the rear sensors.

A code reader would be a benefit on that fault

but yes, check the rear connector

You don't need to take the bumper off, if you scroll down the link a little it shows you where the rear parking loom connects to the vehicle (under the near side rear tail light (two Philips screws and the tail light comes off)).
