I'd call them tomorrow & ask if the mileage is genuine, when we got our evoque for the first few days it was showing it was in Liverpool when it was on our drive in Bridlington,,

I picked mine up at the end of January with 42 miles on the clock, which felt like slightly more than I expected on a brand new car but not enough to question. My last 4 or 5 new cars have all been under 20 miles on the clock.

RRS is built at the Solihull plant, not Halewood.

Wow. My car went to a body shop to have the sills painted and a trip to the tint shop, all down the road from the dealer and it still only had 35 miles at delivery.

For transportation safety the factory never fills the tanks, they get enough fuel to get them out of the factory, down to Gaydon holding centre on a transporter and then back onto a transporter for delivery to the dealer. Some dealers have their own transporter others use the factory appointed company. Both Lookers Park Royal and Grange Garage have sent me pictures of cars i have bought from them arriving on the transporter and of the exterior and interior on delivery from the final QC/ Dispatch centre at Gaydon. Current RRS is the only one I didn't get some photos of. Dealers will add a full tank at their discretion, however as usually I am leaving London at the crack of dawn the day after taking delivery to drive to Scotland I have always asked for the tank to be full on delivery, saves me having to find a filling station off the motorway in an unfamiliar area. With the RRS I was able to get all the way home 500+ miles without refuelling, the Evoques had smaller tanks and for peace of mind I had to refuel at Teebay North Services to get all the way home without a yellow light coming up on the dash or the satnav map flashing all the near by filling stations at me! It is not part of the OTR price to deliver the car with a full tank and in these days of spiralling fuel costs I think it is reasonable to have minimum half a tank in the car - nothing worse than the dealership taking loadsa money off you for your new car and then you having to pull into possibly their own forecourt and put 75-80ltr of fuel in before you can go anywhere. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

When I bought mine last year it was low on fuel & I mentioned it to dealer,he told me to pull round to filling station & he will put some in,,,,£20,,I said aren't you going to fill it,no he said he could only put £20 in but if I'd bought a new one he would have put £50 in.

You should have stuck out for a full tank - lots of people do, and they get a full tank. |
