Help/advice needed with minor problems with my new RR Sport

http://www.rrsport.co.uk/gallery/albums/us...281%29.jpg

Hi all,

I'm seeking a bit of help/advice

I've just got a 2005/6 RR Sport 4.2 SC and a Hawkeye (as there's so much electronics on her).

the faults that have recurred are;

1: Park aids - Rear Right sensor general electrical fault. i've replaced the sensor with new but the fault is still apparent.

2: Air Con level sensor below limits - I presume that means the A/C is low or empty?

3: The HEVac fan manual speed controller does not work. it blows fine on Auto, but turn the dial and the lower speed light flashes on, then goes off. Do these have a resistor pack?

Thank you gentlemen.

Simms

With only just having recieved it wouldn't you be best going back to the seller for the work to be done on warranty.

Whats the fault code for the parking sensors ? it may be worth changing the wiring loom for them, it's not expensive from Land Rover

Re-gas the AC.

The full pannel with the temp controls etc. on it is pretty cheap and easy to get out so it may be quicker to just swap it out (I woul look on eBay for it rather than buying new).

as an aside, is re-gassing the air conditioning the same on a RRS as any other car? I did it on my previous car (merc) and think my RRS could do with a top up.

Thank you for the replies,

Socast & Bill: I did consider taking her back, but I had PX my old P38 (187000 miles) that was in a bit old a had problems. The day before I collected my RRS my P38 head gasket went, so I feel it would be a bit of a cheak to go back.

I am an engineer, so at the mo I'm getting advice and learning my way around the veichle.

Looms are cheap and the hevac panels not too bad either.

I thought it may need a regas, so I'll try that.

Once again thank you.👍

Get the Air Con/Climate checked for leaks before getting it refilled.
Most centres do check, even Kwik Fit use auto machines, that any idiot can use, but it should say if there's a leak, but not all, or the cheap ones. Independent specialists will use a colour dye to see if/where any leaks. John
