Have you tried reversing the vehicle slightly? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

I think the handbrake (EPB) operates a drum brake behind the discs and calipers and this can stick due to brake dust.

As said above, the EPB operates inside the rear brake disc bell and uses good old fashioned drum / shoes. You'll struggle to clean out mud etc. without stripping it down. If you're leaving it parked on a level surface then you might be better not applying the EPB and just leaving it in park. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Doesn't the handbrake automatically apply after a certain length of time if you switch the engine off? I'm in the shed, I'll be back in the real world in a minute. |
