Without commiting 100% if you only used kitchen roll the turbo should have shredded it and it'll disappear out the back of the exhaust. But there's a chance that it wrapped round the turbo's spindle and has forced itself up against the oil seal. So it'll be fine for a little while then you'll start burning blue smoke and your dash will light up like a christmas tree |

Is there a chance if I remove inner wing and heat shield I may be able to remove pipe from turbo and retrieve some pieces from there if I'm lucky or is it long gone into the heart of the turbo, car was on Tick Over for about 8-10 seconds with no revs at all. |

Thanks Andy, I'm having right mare with this thing at moment, was in the process of trying to get the fan off to get to alternator so it could be changed, not a chance of getting it of without correct tools, so have to try locate them tomorrow, once I get fan of and the bottom plastic shroud I'm hoping for bit more room then hopefully get to the 8mm bolt to get the dam pipe off, I went in through near side wheel arch, removed all 3 heat shields but was daylight was against me and no luck getting pipe disconnected before dark. Do you think I might be able to access the 8mm if I take near side headlight out. I'm just |

Do you have a powerful vacuum cleaner, something like a Dyson of the cylinder variety? You may get a fair amount out by inserting a vacuum hose in the pipe and forming a seal with a bunch of rags. Has to be worth a try? |

Yeap the fan is a pain. I have known someone replace the alternator without removing the fan, so that's a back up plan.

Yes simple but SO satisfying, now back to the other headache of getting the fan off to fit alternator, at least I got my alternator super fast (as always) from advance factors. |

Yeah Gilly1 buy the ticket! ![]() ![]() ![]() Glad to be of help, one of the little tricks I learnt from my time as an a/c tech in the RAF. Recovered quite a few misplaced items from within the guts of a Buccaneer or an F4, with a Hoover ![]() |
