I have 4.2 Sc that seems to have issues when left overnight/ all day! The car starts first time every time, and it seems to tick over for the first the first 30/40 seconds but then it seems to start missing/juddering. I turn the motor off and back on and everything's fine, no issues and runs great. When leaving work if I leave it all day I have the same issues as the morning start, i.e.turn on,missing etc turn off and back on and everything's fine, however if I use the car say at lunch , it starts,ticks over ok,and I have no missing/juddering issues etc, and in the evening when going home the same day I have no missing issues then either ? Any suggestions ? Thanks

Just a guess but I had a problem that was intermittent like yours and it turned out to be a relay in the engine fuse box, not sure if something turns on or of via a relay making yours do this but just a thought? RRS Autobiography SDV6 19

It'll be a software update for the engine I would think.

I had a similar problem that when starting the car in cold weather where when starting the engine would start as normal and then stall after a second or so. If started with a bit of throttle it would hold and be fine.

So while not the same issue as you're having it's very similar. Especially with it being a cold start issue.
