It really works VA! Anyone who has marks on their exterior vinyl use some smooth peanut butter on a cloth. It is great for getting any bodywork polish that the lovely dealers may have got on your vinyl Warning You do look a complete wally smearing your car with peanut butter though and of course I have only tested this on humble D3 vinyl your 'high' grade RRS vinyl may react differently ie it may say to you in a very posh voice "why are you putting peanut butter on me" as against the D3 which said "YUM". PS I hate peanuts YUCK |

To answer the original question with SOME decorum, I find the easiest way to get bugs and flies off the paint is to use the Meguiars Lambswool wash mitt, it has a reverse side for exactly that function and does not harm the paintwork.
