United Kingdom 2011 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Autobiography Santorini Black
22" or keep the 20's

Guys I'd appreciate your input/experience. Picking up my 2011 car on Saturday and it comes fitted with 20 DIAMOND TRND L320 DESIGN 2 alloys. Nothing wrong with them just not a fan. I've seen the Turbine Alloys which are 22". I think they look great on the car but having looked through some recent posts going to 22" is going to have a negative effect on the ride, even if I think the new alloys look better. Would also need to sell the original alloys. Thoughts??

Welcome to the forum Thumbs Up I have had both sets of wheels you have pictured (pics in my gallery) the 22`s I have now are the genuine turbine LANDROVER alloys - beware fake imitations. The tyres fitted have a 45 side wall & the ride is perfect - no issues whatsoever. If your Sport has a warranty beware - 22`s are not standard & never was on the L320 Rolling Eyes 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Cheers Peachy. The ones on the car are originals. Trying to find genuine 22's is proving tricky. Would need to find a buyer for the originals before I get carried away or my other half will kill me! Nice to know the 22's will fit with out rubbing or messing the ride up Thumbs Up

Nice - does the RRS have the Red vents - I went through a set of them on my first Java Black Sport - they do stand out especially on a darker colour Thumbs Up 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Thats the only thing that puts me off buying a set.really want to go back to 22"as I think the car just looks so much better balanced,I really don't like the big wheel arch gap.
Although they are a much nicer ride on 20"

I did wonder if the Turbines all went the same way then figured out each side goes in opposite directions. I think its actually quite cool. Front grill, side grills, tailgate spoiler + alloy changeover and the look will be complete for me. Like a kid on Xmas Eve I'm that excited Embarassed

I'm running Revere WC2 22" and looking to go to 20"s more due to my driving area than the ride which is fine. 2018 Telsa MS

Welcome HippyW!!

22" alloys may look cool, but that's where it ends! The ride on 22's will be brick hard and the risk of getting dents in the rims or kerb rash will go up 50 fold Sad £80 a time to get dents repaired, similar for kerb rash.
My 2011 HSE came with the 20's, which I really like the look of, but after trying 19's for winter, I haven't gone back! The ride is just a bit less 'fidgety' and the rims are still dent and rash free. It also looks more like a Range Rover, and less like a drug dealer's car- my sister's observation Wink

OK so having done quite a bit of reading through various threads I'm going to keep to 20" alloys, just upgrade the ones I've got. Looks like a nice set of Kahn Rs, in black with the calipers painted Brembo Red for contrast. Can't collect the car now until Tuesday and I'm itching to get going on it
