My experience is,they eBay steps are great value, fit perfectly but the aluminium does tarnish very quickly.I had genuine steps on my first sport and that aluminium tarnished as well but the metal did seem better quality.

I see for a little bit more you can buy them with sill protectors. Is it worth the extra or are these just traps for wet road dirt to sit in ? |

I got mine of fleabay for my last rrs they were easy to fit but did discolour along the aluminium strip. If you do buy some make sure you strenghten the strips before you bolt them to the car they are well known for popping off when the rivets rust, I had to re-drill both sides it would have been easier off the car, hope this helps mate |

Side steps can be purchased with either precut - none cut or no replacement sill protectors at all. You need to remove your current sill protectors as part of the step installation.

I got mine with pre-cut sills for about 120 delivered next day.Only other bit of advice I would offer is to get yourself an 8mm tap to run through the holes before you try and get the bolts in. |
