Boost - remember your post about the DIY turbo change; is it still all good?

It is worth noting that using the 'align my car' website won't find any Kwik Fit centres. Possibly because Hunter won't give them full approval. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Hi Paddi, Yes Turbo never missed a beat since I changed it, all still good! Top links there - Thanks I've got some tracking gear and a castor/camber gauge so want to try and set it up myself - Don't like paying people for stuff I can do. I just need the settings, looks like LR specs are not the best for tracking, but cannot find a definitive answer from anyone as to what the best settings are.... Wonder if the camber/castor are the same? |

Well, Replaced the brake pad wear sensor that I managed to smash whilst changing the discs & pads and found the wish bone buses shagged on both sides! That would explain the tyre wear then!

Faced with the same dilemma recently I wimped out of freezing my arse off for hours outside and had a had a very good Indy change both lower arms for Land Rover sourced parts - think the arms were about £500 for the pair plus about 3 hours labour. Alignment varies a lot but even at 'down south' prices not more than £150 Changing just the bushes is definitely possible for a determined DIY like yourself although said to be a right PIA but is much much less expensive. Site sponsor Advanced Factors supplies OEM arms and pattern arms with a range of bush choices or just the bushes at decent prices so worth checking them out. Lots of info on the Disco 3 site about how to do it. Good luck! 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE |

The Hunter website just says the centres listed have their "full approval" but perhaps all that means is the centres have paid to be on it. I may be able to find out as I know the owner of a local place that has Hunter kit and is listed on their website. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE |

Just used that site to find a place to align my dads sport. Put my post code in and the top of the list was where my lad started his apprentiship last week. He told me he was learning the 4 wheel alignment, but I didn't realize it was this system.

When I bought my RRS it pulled to the left. The dealer I bought it from took it to Kwik Fit in Hemel, they adjusted it using their Hunter equipment but it still pulled to the left, albeit not quite as much.

So, moved one of the kit cars out and put under a cover, so I could get the RRS in the garage! Heater on makes a lot of difference to outside!

Why not stick to LR's settings now you've changed the bushes? The stories about bad alignment from the factory are due to the factory setting them up wrong, not bad figures in the book. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
