Ceramic sealants. Who has used what ?

I have just bought a Black RRS1 Autobiography which I'm collecting from the dealer in just over a week which I would like to put or have someone put on a ceramic coating to protect the paint. The dealer offered Wiliams ceramic coat but I read that's only a silicon based product.

I know Gteqnic crystal serum is meant to be one of the best but at £1400 to prep and apply that's a bit steap for me after buying the car and I know their are lots of other products which are meant to be very good so wanted to know what others have had put on there cars and if they are any good.

These guys offer some great coatings, as well as Gtech

http://ceramicpro.co.uk/

http://www.nanolex-shop.co.uk/?gclid=CjwKE...oCpOHw_wcB

Kamikaze offer a range
http://www.theultimatefinish.co.uk/Store/S...Collection

Car pro have a nice selection
https://carpro.uk.com/collections/cquartz-coatings

I'de suggest have a look through some of these, decide what your after, then google some detailer's in and around your area (or as far as your prepared to travel) asking questions about what they use or recommend. Also may be worth checking the some of the manufactuer websites as they may list guys who are authorised applicators of there products.

or if you have a garage and some time, get the whole kit and DIY

Have a look on here,http://www.detailingworld.co.uk/, £1400 is about right,,a new car straight off the transporter without dealers muppets washing it & covering in swirl marks is usually about 1k,,with your being secondhand it will take a couple of days to prep it so that's why its dearer.

I used SIRAMIK

coatings on my car. Detailer wanted £1200 to correct and apply 2 coatings 1 of Siramik HR then a coat of Ultimat.

I corrected the car myself (about 60hrs) then he did a final prep polish 1 coat of HR including glass and wheels and 2 coats of Ultimat which stops most forms of scratches and cost me £700 in the end

I used C5 on my mirror polished M3 wheels and couldn't fault it. They were also painted inside and all the inserts only the face was bare alloy but I didn't have any problems.

What was it you were disappointed with ?

It doesn't keep them that clean on the inside but makes them easier to wash with just shampoo & a wheel mitt.
