All these error messages plus, 'Cruise not available', "Emergency brake assist not available", have recently started flashing up. I can be trolling along happily, either on road or off, and then all these messages suddenly appear. No obvious actual faults and the park brake still works. Tuirn the car off and back on again and life returns to normal until the next time.

Just days after buying mine I was heading to the dealers about another issue when I got this bleeping and the display started cycling through loads of warnings saying basically nothing was working - similar messages to what you wrote. The messages cycled really quickly and then I was left with the yellow triangle, yellow park symbol and the yellow car with squiggly lines. The car was plugged in and the mechanic said it was a calibration issue, steering if I remember correctly. So that was done and no more errors.

Thanks again - I have a suspicion it may be steering related. The fault has occurred about four times now and on at least three of those times I have been cornering hard enough to feel a smidgin of G-force. The first time was crossing a slippery stubble field and everything was going a bit sideways. I'll let you know how/when/if I find the cause and solution. |

If you are driving it like that again try immobilising the DSC, that may be what has been causing your warnings as it "thinks" that using big steering or throttle inputs is the precursor to an accident and it will cut the power and throw up warnings. If you press the DSC button in then it will default to on if you switch off the ignition and restart again, but don't forget to re-instate it if you go back onto the road - your insurer might refuse a claim if you have it inhibited on the paved road as it is an accident avoidance aid. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Tim, when I said 'a smigin of G-force', I meant exactly that. There were no big steering or throttle inputs at all, just enough cornering to make me feel more pressure against one side of my seat than the other side.

The Indy doing the job is MID Engineering near Wantage. Based on everything else they've done I can thoroughly recommend them. Fault seems to be cured. |
