On a serious note anton - Personally , I find the logic 7 OK , its no worse than the systems in any of my previous Audis with Bose. I wouldn't want to pull my car apart either. But, I'm sure if you take your car to a reputable car HIFI installer you'll get just what your looking for.

Not forgetting site sponsors Prestige Audio, who can be seen in the banner above (when they're in the banner above, obviously). I notice they had a write up in BMW Car mag last month....

We have an RR Sport booked in for an almost identical sub to that X3 next week so I'll stick some piccies up. Sadly there is no pre amp outputs on the standard HUs so you will need to use either an amp with a high level input, or a high to low level converter.

Yeah you could tap off the rear speaker or even the speakers in the headliner and use a high to low converter to get the low rca cables to plug into the amp. Then you need to run a cable through the firewall, under the carpet and into the back. Hook the amp up and everything should work. Front speakers are fairly easy to swap, but you may want to get a better amp on them which requires you pulling the outputs from the stock amp to your aftermarket amp. The car uses a MOST bus system so there are no speaker outputs in the headunit, just the amp. |
