Are you sure the car is getting a mobile signal when trying to sign in? Perhaps try it in different locations if you haven't already tried so.

Tricky, if I reverse my car up my drive so that the tailgate is close to my garage door / the house the antenna is shadowed from the very weak local mobile signals and I cannot connect from the phone app, if I drive the car into the drive and park nose in I have no problem communicating with the car from my app. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

The MY17 cars I've seen have silver lettering on HSE, and black on higher spec., with Bright Pack being a no-cost option. (I was going to have the Bright Pack on my Autobiography, but the dealer put me off, saying it just made it look like an HSE). |

HSEs are the only models with silver lettering and bits...Dynamic onwards have gloss black lettering and bits (grills, boot strip etc). Bright pack gets you silver bits on any model but yes it would make your car look like an HSE. Black pack gets you the above "bits" and lettering in matte (none shiny) black. |
