I've got a ctek charger with the comfort lead connected to the battery for quick connect, i was just wondering where you guys have mounted your leads?? somewhere i don't have to keep opening the bonnet would be nice?

I have hard wired mine in the boot fuse box and exposed the connector at the bottom of trim panel. CTEK have a variety of accessories including a panel that can be mounted on the front grill for example. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

yeah charging from the front grill or rear end would be my preference due to how i have to park on the drive but i don't really want it on show to much ?

I park with the car's rear towards the house. The charger and extension reel stay in the boot. CTEK's own mains lead was just a few inches short to reach my external wall socket so have to use extension. The only visible bit is the cable emerging at the bottom of the boot lid and going into the socket.

If you have towbar electrics (I don't) then there is an adapter available on disco3 site. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

I had the LR branded CTek conditioner fitted to my last Evoque through the front grille (again because of the way round I park the car on the drive - if I back up the drive then the rear of the car is shaded from cellular phone network signals and the InControl Secure functions don't work without a good mobile signal so I have no remote monitoring facility). The connector was all but invisible in the black plastic of the grille. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

I do from my old setup when I was jumping a relay to make the boot socket live to charge via that. Since then I have hardwired a comfort connector and ditched the cigarette lighter connector that I was using before. Didn't take any pictures after that but it was as simple as connecting the black cable to car's body for earth and the red cable (via a fuse piggyback) to a fuse that was permanent live for example trailer battery.

Having said that, the power socket in the boot is another charging option so you can still check out step 11 in this guide from my old setup: http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/post473608.html#473608 The only downside is that jumping the relay *may* record a harmless fault code every time the car is started but you will never know unless you plug in a fault code reader.

However, the fuse layout changed in MY16 so this will only help if you have the same model car as me. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

This is a ctek lead with indicator which are slightly longer and suitable for the RRS.

Can be purchased on eBay for £5. (M8 version)

Connected to the towbar power supply.

I have soldered the red wire to the green wire with brown stripe and put red tape around. (don't need the towing electrics
fitted) (see grey plug in picture)

The black ring to a bolt (lower left of picture)
