Autobiography extras

I'm looking for a late RR and would like one with all the toys on it so was told by a dealer I need to be looking for a Autobiography model.

What do you get with the autobiography pack that you don't on a HSE apart from the HST style bodykit ?

Also I would like as late as I can find but got told the TDV8 is the best car but this would mean 2010 at it newest. Is their any benefit in having a TDV8 over a newer 3.0 TDV6 other than the v8 sound if you still get that on a diesel.

Smarttech - Its all about budget & personal taste - I like toys & gadgets on my Sports but finding the right colour - interior with all the extras is a Censored The AB is advertised as the top spec BUT a forum member sold his Red Edition on here a couple of years ago - it had every factory fitted option Whistle If you use the approved used Landrover site it enables you to search using the filter to look for Sports with the extras fitted.
My AB has rear entertainment / sunroof which is not a standard piece of kit on the AB the dual-view infotainment screen is also an option. FBH - heated steering wheel & the badge is standard Rolling with laughter Rolling with laughter
I was looking for the above with ebony headliner & 360 surround cameras but I just could not get it all on the same RRS without compromising colour or trim options. You can find HSE luxury models with lots & lots of goodies but the seats have a different look compared to the AB - the HST look - exterior trim is known as the Exterior Pack - so therefore HSE with exterior pack is a starting point Thumbs Up
Ive never owned a TDV8 - only the petrol Supercharged Mr. Green Mr. Green & the 2 SDV6 AB`s both trouble free engine wise Wink
Good luck - hope the above helps & as always ask away if you need advice you are in the right place. 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............
17MY Autobiography Dynamic - Corris Grey - WOW.
14MY Autobiography Dynamic - SDV6 - Fuji White Smile
12MY Autobiography - SDV6 - Santorini Black - Dual View - Rear Entertainment - Sunroof.
12MY Autobiography - SDV6 - Orkney Grey - awesome ;(
2005 Java Black - 4.2 V8 Supercharged First Edition- will never be forgotten ;(

After looking at several L494s before buying my Autobiography (MY15) the bits that I saw on others that mine doesn't have include the wing mirrors with blind spot warning, remote heating & possibly the additional headlights that come on when turning a corner. What I have that I love includes the full (static) pano roof & electric towbar. What I have that I would be happy to loose is the configurable mood lighting.

Thank you for that info as it helps me understand the options a little more.
I'm looking for something in black or at least a dark colours. Would love the Bali blue but not seen any for sale.
Interior I want in a light colour and love the look of the ebony and ivory leather but would be happy with just a single colour leather.
Budget is £30k but would go to £35k for the perfect car.
I've been told to buy from a Land Rover main dealer as I hear you can't beat their warranty.

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Santorini Black

It took me ages to find my Autobiography with all the kit I wanted, as soon as they come up they go almost instantly. I haven't seen any with all the bells and whistles up on Used Approved in ages. When I bought mine I had to accept the cigar smell in the car and hoped I could get rid of it which was easy enough.

Additional to the standard spec I have Rear Seat entertainment which is fantastic for the long journeys, Sunroof, ebony headliner and 360 camera (I know these are seen as useless but I couldn't do without them especially in multistory car parks)

In terms of warranty although my car was 2yrs old when I bought it, it has saved me but not engine wise. My tank was showing up as full constantly even when 1/4 full, so that was fixed under warranty (Although it's happened again and back in at the moment). The surround cameras started flashing blue and not giving a picture which they had to take most of the interior out to fix. The wing mirrors started juddering which they fixed and also the paddle shift behind the steering wheel came loose. Other than those nothing else, but it's a big load off my mind knowing the warranty is there, especially the assist where you can get them out for any problem and if they cant fix it they arrange a courtesy car while yours is fixed . You might want to have a look a 3rd party warranty regularly discussed on here.

A work of warning would be that there are so many cars out there that claim to be autobiography's which are not, make sure you check the V5 which will say auto on it and also check for the Adaptive Cruise control which as I understand it (Someone will correct me if I am) came on the Autobiography's as standard.

Happy hunting and if you have any questions I'm happy to help.

I have been amazed by how many new RRS you see on the road with 'Autobiography' badges when they aren't. (On the new model, the rear bumper is a giveaway even if they've had the sills painted, etc.). Last time I was in the dealer showroom, a man was picking up an HSE which already had an 'Autobiography' badge fitted to it! The salesman I was dealing with said "we're not supposed to but he twisted someone's arm".

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Don't forget that the non-Dynamic HSE has/had a very similar badge to the Autobiography badge, Dynamic has no additional badge on the back. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

No, these are definitely 'Autobiography' badges, seen on stationary cars in car parks (plus the one in the showroom). Because I have ordered an Autobiography, I make a special point of noticing.
