In Control Secure systems only work if you pay the additional fee, which most people are happy to do, period of cover is IIRC from date of first registration of the car through to the third anniversary (i.e. You bought 3 years subscription when you took delivery). I would imagine that showing the insurer the invoice for the car showing that price paid included the subscription should suffice. You dealership might even be prepared to give you a letter to the effect that you have paid for X years subscription for the system. I assume that you are insuring with one of the discount insurers like Direct-line as I have used Land Rover Insurance for years (even though it is only a name and is operated by a third party major) and have never been asked to install a tracker system or prove that I have paid the subscription and I live in an area north of Glasgow where it isn't unknown for Land Rover products disappear in the night............ 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Just checked my certificate and it also doesn't show when it would expire, but on the Incontrol main page it shows all three services with expiry dates, what if you do a screen capture/ printout of the web page, as it also shows the car registration. |
