Direct swap I believe, though no one has got the powered tailgate working. |

Just seen that, seems a genuine seller looking at their feedback.

Thnaks for the reply , do things like these have part number or not as I could ask him for the LR part no as I'm worried it might be a OEM part made as a replica and not an actual LR part thanks |

Hinges are different, the MY12 tailgate doesn't fit earlier hinges. BTW if it is in Lithuania, it's genuine. Hundreds of crashed cars are hauled to Lithuania every day, why would somebody get to the lengths of manufacturing and selling "fake" tailgate, when one can remove it from a non-repairable parts donor bought in France, UK or Italy for 1500 Euros? That said, it's way too expensive, here's a complete MY2012 tailgate for 160 quid + shipping http://allegro.pl/klapa-tylna-bagaznika-ra...49555.html Regards etc., Wojtek --- WAS: 2006 RRS Supercharged IS: 2010 RRS TDV8 HSE |

You need to use the 2012 hinges but it is a straight swap.

I've fitted the 2012 tailgate to my 2011 Range Rover sport. there is a lot of wiring mods to sort out as your wire harness for the back is wired to feed 2 X tail gates i.e. top and bottom. The 2012 is just one closure. It took me a day to fit it after it was painted and sorted the wiring.

First, I've never even seen the pre-2012 RRS boot lid in the flesh so I'm comparing with my old RR which I'd guess is similar? Does the top half go up and lower drop down? I was disappointed with my post-2012 style one piece boot lid as I miss the convenience of being able to open the glass section to drop something in the boot quickly, especially in the rain where I now have to wait for the complete boot lid to open.

Got mine from a breakers yard from a 2012 Autobiography. Personally and this is only my opinion I like the look of the newer boot its a lot lighter as its aluminium and it just looks better and the silver strip is all in line with the body curve. I did not like the round plastic button either, again this is my personal taste. |

the newer model its just the complete tailgate which opens. The bottom part does not open. The picture below was taken just miniutes after I had it fitted from body shop. |

Looks like a lot of people doing the tailgate mod or wanting to undertake the mod. It would be very good if ABSport would be kind enough to post the wiring mods and maybe add it (sticky) in the mods bit. No ADY, I am not trying to stick anything to you In Spain - 2018 F Pace - Frightened away from the Sports due to crank failures
