Rear anti roll bar with ACE

Well the RR is about to disappear on the back of a low loader for the 3rd time this year, on this occasion looks like the fluid leaking from rear anti roll bar, driving along heard a sound like a spring going and then on comes the red light with the arrows saying to stop engine.

Just rung Landrover for a price on the part which is £1345 inc vat, anyone know a good OEM bar at a better price ? Nanocom Evo

Look on eBay, there are a number of suppliers coming in at around £790 inc VAT/delivery. Might get a discount off that for a direct payment if you ask nicely Wink

According to my Indie the part is identical to LRR OE stuff.

I was charged £500 for the fitting.

Indie said that "if" you could find a 2nd hand one, that it might already be on its way out, so probably not worth it.

Thanks for the info, there are a few "Delphi" ones, are these OEM ? good advice from your Indy , I'm not for putting second hand ones is having just had a new engine and turbo 1200 miles ago.

How long does it take to change the bar ?

I have a RAC parts and labour warranty which will hopefully assist in repairs £750 limit however they recovered it to one of their approved garages (has to be for any chance of warranty claim) but they won't work on it, says it's too specialist so have to wait till tomorrow and find out what RAC suggest now. Would rather take it to my Indy. Big Cry Nanocom Evo

I can't recall but I think so. Indy said it was same as OE. Ring Paolo on 020 8417 0243, Autopost in London for more info and pricing.

I was charged £500 so £60+VAT around 7 hours. They described it as a body off job but I'm guessing it was more of a body prop.

the rear one can be replaced by splitting the body at the rear, you only need a few inches to gain entry to the top bolts, it is not a body off job 07,TDV8,Black, Black Heated leather all round, Rear Entertainment with Headpones & Remote, TV, DVD, Pure Dab Digital Radio, Sidesteps, Adaptive Headlights, sunroof, now working fuel burning heater Smile)))

Good news I guess, it was one of the front hydraulic flexi pipes which had burst spraying the fluid to the rear, had all front pipes replaced including the one from the pump at a cost of over £900, RAC warranty paid £750 of it so not too bad Nanocom Evo

Remember needing the rears doing on the D2 Nobody wanted to do they work just wanted to take the ACE off and replace with solid bars. Nanocom Evo

Best thing for it on a D2. Censored system that made no difference to the way the car drove Laughing

At least the RRS, you can tell the difference between those fitted with and without Thumbs Up
