Unless i'm being dumb, doesn't it connect automatically every time you get in? I have my WiFi hotspot switched on in the car, the when my phone connects via bluetooth the wifi indicator kicks in. Just checked my hotspot usage, and nothings registered, so yes it looks like I was being stupid.

As far as I can tell, only MY17 cars with the new media system can connect the car to external wifi, including mobile phone hotspots, I may be wrong as I don't have my RRS yet.
