rear window demister

Hi wondering if anyone can help.2007 rr sport rear screen demist not working.plug under the roof spoiler was corroded checked voltage before replacing connection but isn't there.ive checked fuse seems ok voltage there.switch is lighting up and relay is clicking.wondering if the feed runs through a control module and maybe shut down.any thoughts.thanks

Yes. If the battery state of charge is low then the car can disable high current components including the screen heater. Usually after a few minutes running the disabled systems are turned back on so you can try either charging the battery or just running the engine for a while and then check for voltage using a multimeter on the heating filaments. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Thanks for the reply.the battery is at 12v ignition off and charging at 14v or just over.could it be a weak battery?
