I believe in the old model (up to 13 reg) you can switch on camera view on demand if you have surround cameras but not if you have only the rear camera.

In wet weather the reverse cam on RRS prior to 2016MY gets very very dirty, so it is useless in those conditions 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Is there any way of changing the lines configuration on the reverse camera/screen.I added a genuine number plate camera on my 1st sport, that showed lines running across the back of the car,the red line would have you parked approx.12"away from a wall.

Are your parking sensors working OK? The PDC should trigger amber blocks at each sensor and beeps 1m away from front or rear of the car and then when about to hit they turn red with a continuous tone. The yellow lines should "bend" with the steering to indicate where the steering movements will take the car. I believe the change from amber to red occurs at the point where you no longer have enough space for the tailgate to go up without it touching what is behind you. Also if you have the OEM towing system then you will also get a straight yellow line in the tow hitch position to assist with reversing up to the draw/ tow hook on the trailer on some models (IIRC after 2007MY) 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Thanks for the reply Tim.I have the amber blocks on the screen but they don't change colour.I have just reversed 6"away from a wall,my sensors beep and go continuous though.Did I understand you correctly that the lines on the screen should move as mine just stay central on the screen although all 4 are curved inwards? |

You only have the "bendy" yellow lines which move with steering if you have the surround camera sysem ftted if I remmber correctly.

Tim, I'm referring to the RRS 1 not the 2 as an 11plate car was mentioned, with the surround system you can drive with cameras displaying pictures but as soon as you exceed a specific speed I think they switch off. Never thought they were much use either only ever switch them on occasionaly to see if they still work.

I didn't even realise it was possible to have the factory fit reverse camera in the spoiler on a pre facelift RRS1 as have never seen one fitted.
