I am sure there has been an upgrade to the ecu ??

My car was serviced and some upgrades done and it just seems so much more dynamic and fun to drive. Acceleration is better and gear changes just seem more refined. At first I thought it was because the loaner I was driving was a disco sport.

Really is like a new vehicle and I am liking it more each day. A positive note for me. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

I think that the Q634 software update on the 3.0 V6 diesel s(I think it was those numbers, lol) improves step-off from a standstill, and makes the car feel livelier.

Could be something similar on the V8. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

They did mine when it was in two weeks ago to have the front screen defroster fault checked out so no need to wait to have it serviced. My car's next service isn't due until April 2017 and then it is on elapsed time not miles. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

United Kingdom 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Firenze Red

Same with mine, went in to get a CAN Bus fault fixed and it turned out that the Q634 WAS the fix . However, I didn't specifically have it booked in for that. Give the dealer a call and see if they'll book i in, it's only an hour's worth of work and they get to back charge LR for that!

Was reading the thread about Q634 so thought that I would contact my dealer to see if it related to my car. Seems that there are 4 upgrades that are due on my vehicle. I have not been advised by Land Rover that any were due, but speaking to the dealer they said that as these are very recent upgrades, Land Rover had probably not sent letters out yet. The car is booked in for 1.5 hours work early January. Thanks for the information about Q634. 2015 Range Rover Sport Autobiography Dynamic SDV6

You won't get any letter from LR advising about software upgrades unless they are safety related. When you book the car in for a service the dealership should check the car's records in the JLR service records and that will tell them what it is due. When you then take it in for the service they will tell you that it is due to have software upgrades and they may need to keep it in overnight to complete them 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Just rang my local dealer about Q634, which TOPIX now says my car is due. Without quibble they offered to book me in (earliest appointment they had is the new year) and they would sort it at no cost. I was advised I do not need to wait for a service/work etc. SOLD - MY16 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic - Fire Engine Red, Fixed contrast pan roof, TV, Dual Screen, 5+2, Privacy, Noble paddles.

That's right, if you know that there is a TSB or upgrade that affects your car then you can book it in any time to be done. Most folks though don't want to keep loosing their car for a day to the dealership every few months and leave it until the car is in for something else to be looked at. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

In this instance they said they would give me a 30min time slot and I could wait whilst it was done. Or I could take a loan car for the day. SOLD - MY16 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic - Fire Engine Red, Fixed contrast pan roof, TV, Dual Screen, 5+2, Privacy, Noble paddles.

Probably not a great idea to jump at the first opportunity to get Q634 applied if you need the car back quickly: http://www.rrsport.co.uk/forum/post512429.html#512429 Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Well I was out last night with my better half and she could even notice the difference. Maybe a throttle response change I don't know but the car now slices through the gear changes and accelerates like it has a rocket up it's Ar$e. Not that I can remember clearly but the car feels faster than my old R50 Touareg. Must say if every year I get a new experience like this after a visit to the dealers it will make ownership of the SVD8 a great journey. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.

Don't know if it is because I'm enjoying the newfound oooomph but my fuel consumption has increased slightly over the last tankful........... dropped from 36.1 to 33.2 average over the normal runs I do. The weather since the update has been mild and damp, between 7 and 14c, not the -5c 10 days we had prior to the update. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

My fuel consumption is also up a little but I know I have been using the right foot more. Will see over time still very good at 9.8/100 with mixed driving. M16 SVD8 ,4.4 HSE with a few extras, Sold R50 , Wife SQ5 , BMW R1200GSW.
