The mileage alone wouldn't be a concern as long as it has been maintained. The petrol engine is far less complicated than the oil burners, it is also a lot less stressed under normal driving.

As a 2005 car the air compressor should have been replaced, if it hasn't factor in the cost of a new one. Check to see if it's had new discs, as it's there or there abouts at that mileage for another set. check all the electrical gadgets work, try all the switches. Go and look at a few cars if you can, so you can judge a good example. A RAC or AA report at about £350 could be a good investment as they will tell you exactly what needs doing. |
