United States 2008 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Zermatt Silver
Spare Tire Pressure Warning Light 2010 Supercharged

Hi everyone - US model 2010 Range Rover sport supercharged v8.

This past week I am getting a "Spare Tire Pressure" warning lamp in the cluster. Figured, OK, I've not aired up the spare recently (or ... ever)

Filled up the spare tire but realized as I was doing so that there is no TPMS sensor (tire pressure monitoring system) in the spare tire? So how in the world did the car know to tell me that pressure was low. (it was down to 20 PSI or so, I filled up to 40 PSI). About a year ago I did have all new tires fitted and at that time, they changed all 4 sensors for new Land Rover sensors, but at the time said that the spare wasn't monitored.

The light has not gone away even after I filled the tire -- it's still on if that helps.

Could this be a low battery symptom ? Just seems odd.
