Scotland 2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 Autobiography Firenze Red

While that does seem a good price, is it big enough?

It's 20 years since I last did any learning about batteries, but I always remember the rough rule of thumb that a lead acid battery requires it's bulk charge of about 10% of the Ah rating, this is to provide a charge current large enough to reverse the plate sulphation. Too low, and it causes damage by 'baking' the sulphation which is then irreversable, as is also the case if a battery is left more than 2 weeks at a low state of charge.

For a 90Ah or larger then I wouldn't buy anything less than the 7A CTek. I use the 10A one, but I also have a much smaller Optimate for motorbike & lawnmower batteries as too high a charge can also damage.

Maybe somebody has better knowledge and can correct me?

It says only upto 85AH batteries for this charger so not big enough for the Sport, but if you have other stuff to charge like motorbikes or ride ons like i do it makes it ideal to have a smaller one at that price. Thumbs Up

I have a bigger one for the sport but posted the link due to the price Thumbs Up 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Orkney Grey

I've got a C-TEK 5.0 and tow electrics charging set up too. Thumbs Up

Luckily my current 50 miles each way commute is pretty good for keeping the battery well charged - although I haven't checked it recently. One for the weekend I think. Thumbs Up 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
