22" Wheels and Steering Rack

I have read on the buyers guide that on a 2005MY car that if it has 22" wheels fitted it should have an uprated steering rack. My question is, how can you tell?

Don't think it would be easy to tell by looking under the car. Probably pretty safe to assume a 2005 MY doesn't have the uprated rack.

If the 2005 car you are looking at has 22s driving it briskly over a poor road surface and moving the steering quickly from side to side should reveal any knocking noises. Better still just move on and find another one that has genuine Land Rover wheels preferably original fitment for that MY of 19s. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Thanks, the guide states that all pre MY08 cars need an uprated rack to avoid knocking noises. The 22" wheels are Overfinch and look ok. So unless I can see a bill for a new rack I will make due allowance.

I don't think its as big as issue as the guide states.

It's worth paying attention to the steering if it has 22" to see if you notice any problems.

P.S I can swap them for some nice standard 18" if you fancy Laughing
