Hi. I need to top up the charge in my battery as I only do a 25 mile round trip Monday to Friday and as I now have the headlights etc on for the journey to work it is showing a parking brake fault when I start the engine every morning after it has stood overnight.
I do double lock it to try and conserve power but it still does it.
I have purchased one of the intelligent chargers from lidl so my question is do I have to disconnect the battery to charge it.

No need to disconnect battery to charge it. Just attach the smart charger and let it do its work.

I connect my charger occasionally to give the battery a boost, and an overnight charge is sufficient for the charger to assess the battery capacity and deliver a full charge.

I've had one of the original smart chargers (Optimate) on my motorbike for 10 years+ whilst the bike isn't in use without issue. I'm in the shed, I'll be back in the real world in a minute.

Hi yes I thought it would be OK as I have used the accumate charger on my bikes without issues. It's just with the complexity of the electronics on the RRS and certain owners thinking otherwise I thought I would just ask the question.

The CTEK with tow electrics plug is really handy- don't even have to open the Bonnet

or a comfort connector in the boot.

Don't even have to remove the tow cover

Or get someone else to connect it - don't have to go outside of the house  I'm in the shed, I'll be back in the real world in a minute.

Just to update on this.
I treated myself to a ctek charger complete with the hard wire comfort lead with the charge indicator lights built in.
After fitting the wiring to the battery I then routed the extension cable so that the plug sits behind the front grille so I can access it without having to open the bonnet.
I connected the charger and left it to do its job.
After 24 hours the fully charged light on the charger was lit so I disconnected it and re positioned the plug behind the front grille onto a velcro pad which I have fitted behind the land rover badge so it's out of the weather.
I left the car for 30 minutes and then took it for a run.
On returning home parked up and applied the EPB.
When I took the key out of the ignition I noticed that the red EPB warning light had stayed illuminated and did so for approx 60 seconds and then went off.
No flashing or changing colour.
Never noticed it doing this before so I wondered whether it is just running a circuit test or is it normal with a fully charged battery ??

Any advice welcomed.
