Apologies, if this is in the wrong section on the forum, but I couldn't see a apace for used spec questions.

Yesterday evening I put a holding deposit down on a 65 Plate RRS 3.0 Autobiography Dynamic. It's IMO a nicely specced car at a good price. Contrast Roof, 3+2, Privacy, Dig TV and Dual Screen.

I was originally under the impression that all 306hp engines came in MY16 cars, but I have today been told that's not true and there was in-fact a MY15.5. I queried today with the dealers who is selling me the 65 plate has told me the following...

- March 2015 (15) MY15.5 - which gave the new 306hp engine onto of the MY15 spec.
- Sep 2015 (65) MY16 - which on top of the new 306hp engine also made standard the All Terrain Progression Control, Auto Access Height, Hands Free gesture tailgate and Wifi. Plus the important software interface updates for the ICE system

The car I have a deposit on is a 65 plate, but it's 200miles away, and I am worrying the car might not be a MY16.

Firstly, is what the dealer told me true? Secondly, if it is true is there anything I should be able to see clearly in the pictures of the car that will confirm it's a full MY16 car?

I've no idea about the pic's, but did you get the VIN in the holding deposit receipt? Or can you get the VIN so you can enter it into Topix to see what the car is, and it's spec list?

I thought Topix was a dealer only system, can anybody just register?

Register as an Independent Operator, a lot needs a subscription but you can see your spec list, model year etc.

It looks like it also has a Tracker which is good, I'll activate that.

It also says it has the "TL6 Package" - does anybody know what that is?

just check to see wether the tracker is a cat 5,,my insurance insisted it was a 5 & not a 6 I had on the car.

Deposit confirmed. All being well I pick it up next Monday.

Hi Gavin - I have indeed chopped the RS in. They have an Audi dealer in group so they were able to give me a really good price for it, so although i'll be sad to see it go the PCP runs out in December so I had to change it anyway.
