AB, that's not bad for an SDV8.

Assuming that you mean SDV6, according to the trip computer, my car has averaged 35mpg over 22000 miles. A fair bit of that is motorway mileage. I had the car remapped by DMS fairly early on and that has very likely improved fuel consumption by a couple of mpg |

The V6 S/C (SCV6??) isn't yet available in the UK and may not yet be available in Europe yet either - deliveries will start soon as it became available from September here. I avaerage 36mpg in my SDv6 in local fast A road driving and have seen up to 44mpg on a long motorway trip. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I cannot see fuel consumption in the s/c V6 being much better than the s/c V8, tbh. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

TBH, mid teens for either engine mean "not a lot of difference" to me! MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

After April 2017 the V6 may become a more attractive proposition when the tax on diesels shoots up. I used to have a 4.0V8 Dusco 1 and was pleasantly surprised at how acceptable the consumption was.......... but as soon as I tried to play hot hatches it would fall to below 10 mpg, but was great fun breathing down the necks of Golf GTis and XR3's 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

I get excellent fuel economy from my SVD. Mixed driving including some loneg trips have had it in the high 7's per 100. Aroun town low 10's to high 9's. Would never buy the petrol in Australia even though it is the cheaper option, it is resale that hurts the petrol in Australia as the second hand market wants a tow vehicle to get them in the grey nomad club.
