Hi, please advise if this is not allowed, I have been searching/reading for ages about RRS, a new baby & winter seems the Cooper S is going to have to make way for one of these.

I have seen this, 20 mile from me, haven't physically seen it yet, let me know your thoughts? Are there things you would carry out as precaution straight away?

Nice to see an unmolested one. Looks decent and well-presented. Rubber mats in the rear are usually a good sign indicating a careful owner but pictures of course may not tell the whole story.

Looks a nice one the only thing I didn't like were the 2 different rear tyres. Personally I like them the same.

The rims are 20 inch, not 19 inch as the ad states. On a 2006 2.7 it's possible that the steering rack is of the older design that didn't like larger rims. Be worth checking and using as a dealing item during discussions if everything else is good. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

If it does need a new steering rack will i be able to tell in the test drive, and what would be a rough cost?!

I'll have to get him to throw in a SAT NAV mat!

I've read some posts that mean you can't always connect your phone to these via bluetooth, would anyone know if this would be the case with this one?

Love that it is relatively unmolested (barring wheels it seems) and it would be staying this way.. would just want to get it mechanically sound...

Sat nav it not worth turning on it's very poor may help if looking for the motorway if your lost but that's it 61 AB 5.0 supercharged rocket

That one doesn't have bluetooth / phone kit. It was an option. (no red/green buttons on the right of the wheel).
Just kit an aftermarket kit. Much better.


People seam to make a lot of fuss about these steering racks. Mine has 22" and it fine

Sorry to jump in but mines going up for sale on November the 6th. 2005 (55) HSE so in the low tax bracket. Silver, 76k, full history and serviced last month.
Immaculate condition. Detachable tow bar with electrics, sunroof. Updated blutooth, Nappa trimmed steering wheel, new sat nav disc, led bulbs throughout, spare wheel and rear light security, great car.
Be looking for 11000.
