General consensus is that changing the whole shaft is the better option. The bearing can be changed but if you're paying someone to do it it'll probably be no cheaper than a straight shaft swap. Changing the shaft also gives you a nice new UJ/CV at each end too. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

New shaft it will be then, just seems a bit pants paying that just because a rubber is worn, as you say new UJ/CV as well. |

If it is just the rubber - some have reported good results from just filling it full of Sikaflex.

Hi, the whole shaft is better, just had mine changed last week. 30 min job and now it it sound again |

Thanks, will use some sikaflex until I receive and get round to fitting new prop. |
