SVR turned aluminium vs carbon trim

As per thread title does anyone have any decent photos and/or opinions of the standard aluminium trim in the svr? I'm mulling over the £1,600 carbon option but I'm trying not to go too heavy on the additional options due to future intentions. However, i don't want to regret my decision either?!.. cheers

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

If you are trying to limit financial losses when moving it on then I would say don't spend £1600 on carbon fibre trim - anyway how much weight will having it save over the normal plastic trims - NIL I suspect, if you were buying a MacLaren or some other sports car then I would say yes have it, but on a heavy SUV it's bit pointless and I doubt any buyer in a few years time would be interested in paying a premium to have it. However if you like it then you are spending the best part of £100,000 on a car, what is another £1600 + fitting in the big picture of things?? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care

Of course I realise the apparent relative insigficance of an additional £1,600 but it's just as much a question of being worth the outlay as opposed to just the extra cost. In terms of weight saving it's absolutely nothing to do with it, for me it's purely a question of aesthetics. As I've not seen the standard turned aluminium as most have the carbon I was just after some opinion on those who have either of them?

Do not forget that with the carbon option you also get on the 4 doors and additional storages on the front. 2019 Lamborghini Urus ordered

Yes that's true mate and it does look nice. Judging by the lack of response I can only surmise that their are not many folk on here who have gone for the turned aluminum!? There are a couple on autotrader but in photos it's very diffiult to judge, I may see if I can track one down to take a look! Cheers

Google "dark engine turned" and the images will throw out an RRS SVR with stock finish

I've gone with carbon on my order.

I drove around to see cars on full black interior carbon looks best.

On dual tone either works to be honest

The additional storage is a bit of a disappointment. It's a strange shape internally and there's hardly any free space. You struggle to even fit sunglasses in it.

Sooo glad I shelled out for the carbon trim, having seen both in the flesh I'm not a fan of the standard one...
Agree the extra storage is restrictive but it's still helpful..
