I came down off a high kerb last week and came off it a little faster than perhaps I should, when the rear dropped off it I'm pretty sure that I saw the TC light flash briefly as I was accelerating again, anyway since then I'm feeling some vibration through the wheel at say 30-35 MPH which goes away after than and seems to be present again at motorway speeds, it also does feel like it's coming from the near side rear, it does it wether under a heavy or light load so I guess this rules out transmission?.[/url]

You may have knocked it out of balance which will present itself in that kind of way, appear at a given speed then disappear until a higher/lower speed. It'd be the first check for me unless you see damage to the wheel.
Fronts are usually felt through the steering, rears through the car.

Thanks for that, I can definatley feel it through the car more than the steering, a sort of vibration coming from the back of the car, I've had a look under it at the inside of the wheel and there is no visable damage there or at the front either, although I couldn't see any weights on it or the other side on the rear either, so getting them balanced at a tyre place would be first port of call?, if it still does it then I will look into getting a new wheel.

A decent wheel place will tell you whether they are buckled or not very easily so get that checked at same time as you have balanced.... 2010 TDV8

When you take it for balancing just ask them to see if the wheel is running true.If its coming through the car its def the rears.

I've been driving it today and I've noticed it only seems to do it under load if I let off the accelerator it doesn't, is that still normal for a unbalanced or buckled wheel or could that be something else?.

My disclaimer is - I don't really know

But on your initial post you mention being sure you saw the TC light come on briefly, could this vibration be a dislodged sensor/damaged cable etc. causing vibration through the TC activation?

I guess it's possible, but then the TC would have a fault if something wasnt right I'd have thought?, I'm sure I saw it flash for a second as I came off the kerb but it hasn't since.
I'm going to get the wheel looked at tomorrow, hopefully it just needs balancing.
