I'm not sure if it annoys anyone else, but why does the Forum software remove all the new/unread posts from the listings each night around midnight?
It's most annoying if you have missed a couple of days posts or a reply to your queries.
It's also noticeable by new members or queries that get no replies because of above removal, so you get the posts repeated asking has no one any ideas, but really because people haven't seen it as generally many just hit "new posts" button.
Most sites just leave them on and running, if you have been away for a while or don't want to read all posts, just insert a "clear all posts as read" button.
It's generally very easy to add to software or on many others a facility already there, just needs marking.
Any chances of this being done? I'm sure I'm not the only one who comes on at 23.30 sees loads of new posts reads a couple then all the others have disappeared. Many thanks.  John

I agree, I work night shifts quite a lot and like to see the days new posts but after midnight the new post button is empty and this is forcing me to talk to work colleagues during tea breaks rather than being on this fine forum  2.7 HSE, Audi A6 Exec, Honda Accord Exec, Volvo 440, Volvo 360

Not sure this is any help , but if you click onto the home screen and
Scroll right to the bottom , there is an option to view all posts from the last hour
Right through to the last seventy two hours

Neither did I until about a week ago !

i do the same, every time i log in - click new posts.
every morning at around 8am i am able to see all the previous new posts from the last time i logged in. 2019 RRS P400e Autobiography

I don't think it only gets reset at midnight. I'm working nights so last checked at 7am (UK time +3 hrs) and just checked now just after 7pm - nothing. It appears to reset posts after a given amount of time.

I've been getting round this by going to the home page and selecting everything in the last 12 hrs.

I did think this a strange way for the forum to work but as a new member I didn't want to arrive here and say things didn't appear right. Most other forums I'm a member of class New Posts to mean new posts since I last logged in.
